Dear esteemed delegates and participants, I warmly welcome you all to CINE 2015, the 1st conference on Computational Intelligence and Networks jointly hosted by the School of Computer Engineering and School of Electronics Engineering, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar. We have put together a group of young, innovative and talented people to start this conference with the following three objectives:
- The primary aim is to bridge the current lag of 3-5 years in knowhow and expert guidance and hardware availability that exists between India and other developed nations, which researchers frequently face here.
- Secondly, we want to address the lacunae in academic/industry transition, by incorporating tutorials in which experts from the industry will be giving extensive insight into their work.
- Last, but not the least, we want to showcase the vast talent pool of our own Indian scientists who have won accolades and awards, and filed patents, in India and abroad and encourage our own students to actively embrace full time research as their career objective.
