We are delighted to invite you to the International Online Conference on Digitalization  And Revitalization Of Cultural Heritage Through Information Technology

ICDRCT-21.

In the era of digitalization, the world has shrunk and has succeeded in bringing people closer than expected. Various researches have been conducted that explored the versatile use of the Internet by the language communities and there has been growing research with various strands based on the possibilities of new technologies for the revitalization as well as for the documentation and preservation of cultures.

Digitalization could indeed be the best possible methodology to revive the indigenous culture and folk traditions and practices all over the world and would be useful to demonstrate innovative technologies and prototypes, including digital repositories, digital archives, virtual museums and digital libraries, which result from established practices and achievements in the field.

This conference is expected to bring out the contributions of renowned researchers, academicians and folklorists across the globe who are working in this field which would be resourceful to all researchers, linguistics and learners in the field of Digitalization of Cultural studies.

About KIIT

KIIT Deemed to be University started as a modest vocational education institute way back in in 1992 in rented premises in Bhubaneswar. By 1997 it commenced graduate programmes in Engineering and postgraduate programs in Computer Applications and Management. The excellent academic ambience, quality faculty, adherence to strict academic rigor and plethora of other academic activities led to grant of university status to the institute by Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India in the year 2004 just within six years (1997-2004) of its inception.

KIIT University sprawls over 25 sq. km. area with one million square metres of
aesthetically constructed built up area. There are 28 constituent schools, contiguously located in impeccably landscaped and modern-technology-enabled campuses offering graduate, post- graduate, doctoral and post-doctoral programs in a wide range of disciplines.

KIIT is now a multidisciplinary full fledged University which is respected worldwide due to its rich educational culture of excellence. Research and innovation feed into the courses, encouraging the students to think critically and creatively.

Its cosmopolitan campus is proud to have more than 25,000 students from all corners of India and around 22 countries, creating a mini metropolis in which a diverse multi-cultural community mingles and meets to study and relax
together. Student community of the University is highly disciplined due to its student friendly policies.

The institute’s solemn academic ambience has led to grant of A-Category status to it by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, placing it among the most elite universities of the country. It is accredited by NAAC of UGC in ‘A Grade’. Further, it has received Tier 1 (Washington Accord) accreditation by NBA of AICTE for engineering streams.

Washington Accord accreditation enables global recognition of degrees of the University and increased mobility of its graduates to 17 countries, including USA, UK, Australia, Canada and Japan, South Korea. KIIT University is among only six institutions in the country to have this accreditation.

KIIT also has one industrial training institute, a polytechnic, and an international school having affiliations with IGCSE- England, International Baccalaureate Programme (IBP), and CBSE India – the only one of its kind in the whole of the Eastern India. Apart from that KIIT has relentlessly striving for excellence and has achieved so many accolades under its kitty. KIIT is the brain work of Prof Acyuta Samanta who has rose from a very humble beginning and he is perhaps the first founder of an educational institution to receive so many awards from all over the world. About School Of Humanities

KIIT School of Humanities is one of very few department which emphasizes on its research amenities. It has provided huge smart laboratories with basic infrastructure, encouraging academic environment, well-equipped libraries, labs and equipment, adequate infrastructure, funding, highly qualified faculty members, etc, which is necessary for conducting research. Apart from that the faculty members have registered research scholars for the PhD programme who come not only from India but across the globe. The scholars get world class facilities for pursuing their research and every year minimum of 20 scholars get their PhD awarded from the School in English, Economics and Management. The school has received an outstanding number of funding in a single year from ICSSR for conducting national and international conferences. It has also received three research grants from ICSSR in the same year which itself is a record.
