Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA)

The Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) owes its origin to the foresight and initiative of two British Indian Chemists, namely, Professor J. L. Simonsen and Prof. P. S. McMahon. The Association was formed with the following objectives:

  • To advance and promote the cause of science in India
  • To hold an annual congress at a suitable place in India
  • To publish proceedings, journals, transactions and other publications as may be considered desirable.
  • To popularize the benefits of science to the environment and society.

ISCA Bhubaneswar Chapter

The Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA), Bhubaneswar Chapter was started on June 5, 1996. Since 1997, it promote scientific tempo by regularly holding seminars on the theme of the ensuing Indian Science Congress. The chapter has been successfully organizing several scientific activities like observation of National Science Day, World Environment Day, Environment Awareness Campaign, Science popularization, Workshops/ Seminar / Conference, Exhibitions at periodic intervals of time. ISCA Bhubaneswar Chapter is going to organize a National Conference on the theme “Role of Indian Health & Allied Sciences for Sustainable Future” between February 15-16, 2024.
